Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur - Admissions, Courses, Fee structure


Sri Siddhartha Medical College was established by Siddhartha Educational Trust in the year 1988 and is affiliated to Sri Siddhartha University, Tumkur approved by Medical Council of India (MCI) with an intake of 130 seats for MBBS followed by 40 seats for BDS.
SSM Medical College and the hospital is located in Tumkur, B.H Road, Agalkote, Karnataka - 527107 which is 76 km away from Bangalore city which is spread over a area of 220 acres in the outskirts of Tumkur city.
The College has 1350 bedded hospital, fully equipped with around 12 major operation theaters and minor operation theaters. The College Hospital provides hospital mess, fruit stall and canteen to meet the needs of students and public. There is separate building for Pre and Para clinical departments, information center, library and SSMC Hospital. There are about 21 buildings with an independent departments of Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics', ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, OBG, Radiology and Dermatology, which also includes furnished quarters for staff.

Sri Siddhartha Medical College admission is made through Common Entrance Test called NEET conducted by UGC. Among the total number of Medical seats in SSM i.e. 130, admissions are done as per NEET Entrance Examination rank or marks scored by the candidate.
