How can I get into BMSCE and how are the Placements?

Among the list of things that really kicks in the dopamine for students are great placement statistics. It excites even the least emotionally sensitive person. Who wouldn't want to land a good job with a high six figure package? These offers are drying up really fast as supply of skilled personnel keeps increasing year after year. But there is hope for those willing to do a little bit of research and due diligence before they go all guns blazing and join any college without the slightest idea of what awaits them in the end.

BMS College Of Engineering Bangalore commands a strong level of respect among the student and professional communities alike. Today India has some of the largest number of engineering colleges in the country and although this has resulted in a proportional rise in the number of engineering graduates, the quality of education has been questionable. That being said, one must not assume that every apple comes from the same tree. There are quite a number of institutes that even displaced some of the best colleges in foreign soil. Most of these top level institutes fall under the management of the Government of India like the IISc, IITs and NITs but there are quite a lot that fall under private management. BMS Engineering College Bangalore is quite the contender among private engineering colleges.

This might come in as a surprise to most people but BMSCE is the first private engineering college in India that had its foundation laid in 1946 even before the independence of the country. Furthermore BMSCE has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A++ grade with a CGPA of 3.83 which is a weightage given out of 4. A++ is the highest grade awarded by NAAC to any institute. The re-accreditation status remains valid from 2019 to 2024. One could go on to say that the recognition and ratings of the institute from the government is perhaps the biggest contributor to BMS College Of Engineering Ranking improvement over the years.

Moreover the National Institutional Ranking Framework or NIRF according to the 2019 report ranks the institute at number 69 among the list of top engineering colleges in India. Which is quite a rank considering the list includes heavy weights like IITs and NITs and other powerful government colleges. The Times Engineering Institute survey of 2019 has placed B.M.S.C.E at number 8 among the top 140 Engineering colleges in India and 1st among the top 50 colleges on the placement front. The very strong performance of the college on the placement front can be attributed mainly due to its solid industrial relations. BMS College Ranking has always been the cause of envy among its contenders.

In the MDRA Best Colleges ranking of 2019 (India Today) the institute has been ranked at 6th place among the top 200 Private Engineering colleges and 3rd place in South Zone. The Week has ranked BMSCE at 6th position among the top private engineering colleges in India in its Best Engineering College Survey (2019).

BMSCE is well known for the programmes that it provides. The college has one of the most experienced teaching staff among engineering colleges. These competent faculty help guide students to fulfil their ambitions in life and at the same time become great contributors to the growth of the country.

Students from backward sections of society have been given special consideration in the scholarship programme. The scholarship programmes at BMSCE include both government and private scholarships. Many private players have made it a point to contribute to education by giving away scholarships for deserving candidates. Over the years these scholarships have been awarded to a number of students at BMSCE and forever changed their lives for the better. Let's take a look at the college fees for the different courses offered here.
